TAPB Contest Critiques

Judging comments are now available to AP members from the 2011-2012 Texas Associated Press Broadcasters radio/TV/online competition.

Some judges made extensive comments. Others did not do any critiques.

The comments are only on the winners (1st and/or 2nd & Honorable Mention). Each division (Radio A or B, TV 1-2-3-4) has about 15-18 critique pages.

Headliners Foundation Awards

Here are winners of Headliners Foundation of Texas Charles E. Green Awards for Excellence in Journalism.

The awards were presented March 31 as part of the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters convention at the Headliners Club in Austin.

The Headliners Foundation partners with Associated Press organizations to honor the best in show among select categories. Winners receive cash prizes and recognition at the foundation's annual awards event held each fall in Austin.

2012 TAPB Scholarship Winners

Two students have been chosen to share $15,000 in Texas Associated Press Broadcasters scholarships.

The winners are Brenna Arthur of Frisco and Andrew Nepsund of San Antonio.

The TAPB board, meeting at the Dallas AP office on March 3, 2012, voted to give $5,000 to Arthur, who is a freshman attending the University of North Texas in Denton. Nepsund, who's a junior at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, will receive a $10,000 scholarship.

The scholarships were presented March 31 during the 2012 TAPB awards banquet at the Headliners Club in Austin.
